John graduated in 2010 from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. After graduating, John moved to Ft. Still, OK to complete a twelve month residency in general dentistry with the Army. As a dentist for the army, he received excellent training in all aspects of dentistry. More importantly, he feels honored to have served his country and treated the soldiers.
After the military, John came to Fairbanks with his wife and four children. He and his family stay active with all of the many things Fairbanks and Alaska have to offer! Having grown up near Boise, Idaho, he loves hiking, fishing, camping and is excited to start hunting again!
Outside of the home, John enjoys working with scouts of all ages. He volunteers with the cub scouts and the boy scouts in the area. He is an Eagle Scout himself and loves to help youth set goals and develop life skills.
He is active in his church and is happy to be a part of the Fairbanks community. John is committed to learning new techniques and procedures to provide the best care for his patients. He strives to provide a stress-free, comfortable experience for all his patients.
Kathy, who is our office manager, grew up in Minnesota and moved to Alaska in 2000. She has been in Dentistry for 25 years and has been at our practices for the past 10 years. She attended St. Cloud Technical College in 1983 and received her degree as a Certified and Registered Dental Assistant.
She loves her work family, and brings a great expertise to our patients and practice. She is a caring person and takes wonderful care of her patients. She has been married for 30 years, and has three grown children. In her spare time she enjoys fishing, hunting, cooking and spending time at their cabin.
Amber joined our team in 2016. She has always felt comfortable being in a dental office because her mother worked as a dental assistant during her youth; as a friendly face of the front desk, she does her best to help patients feel at ease and welcome from the very first appointment.
During her seventeen years of Alaska residency, she traveled around New Zealand to visit farms, skied in Girdwood for a snowy winter, and hiked as many mountains as possible around the Chugach. She enjoys spending her time gardening and dreaming of owning a giant farm full of goats, chicken, and tomatoes.
Nicole comes from a military family, who moved to Alaska from Texas when she was a child. She has since spent most her life in the Fairbanks area.
In 2013, she left the life of a coffee barista to work in the dental and medical field. When she is not at work, she is either busy experimenting in her kitchen or conditioning to run another race.
Sam, who is one of our great dental assistants was born in Oregon but raised in Colorado where she met her significant other, Daniel. The two decided to move to Alaska with their 3 dogs.
Sam joined our team November 2015, having 6 years experience in the dental field. She has an Associates degree in Applied Science and certification in Dental Assisting.
In her spare time she loves to exercise, basketry, and taking her dogs to the park.
Holly, who is one of our great dental assistants, is originally from Southern Louisiana and moved to Fairbanks in July of 2014. She is a graduate of Port Sulphur High School, class of 1997 and Eastern College of Health Vocations in 2002 with a certification in Dental Assisting.
Holly joined our team as of July 2014, having 13 year’s experience.
Holly enjoys her leisure time with her husband Radley, her daughter Dominique and their two yorkies, Nike and Bella.
Hi! My name is Nayeon and I am a full-time dental hygienist. I moved to Fairbanks in 2000 from Pennsylvania. I graduated from the Dental Assistant and Dental Hygiene program at UAF and have worked in the dental field for 13 years. I have always been able to build great trust and rapport with my patients and besides having great technical skills as a dental hygienist I have a friendly demeanor and a kind heart. I have been married for 17 years and have two teenage children. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family, cooking, yoga, running, traveling and reading about advances in dentistry and nutrition.
Amanda moved to Alaska 2 years ago from Texas where she grew up. She went to dental hygiene school at Coastal Bend College in South Texas. Amanda was a dental assistant in the general and orthodontic fields before returning to college to become a dental hygienist. Amanda has been in the dental field for 18 years and a dental hygienist for the last 12 years.
In her spare time Amanda enjoys time with her husband and 3 kids in the Alaskan summers going camping and 4 wheeling. She is so excited to get to hunt and fish here in Alaska of the most beautiful locations possible.
